As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you are not only the technical expert but also the manager of a small, specialized team. You will lead your team, optimize processes, and ensure that everyone performs at their best. Together, you will ensure that our clients have a seamlessly functioning infrastructure that maximally supports our software solutions. This includes installing and managing the infrastructure required for the Thinkwise Platform, consisting of database and application servers. Whether it involves cloud solutions, on-premises infrastructures, or hybrid environments, you combine technical expertise with leadership to successfully deliver projects.

What will you do?

  • Team Management: Lead a small, specialized team of infrastructure specialists. You will coach, motivate, and guide your team to perform at their best.

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve existing workflows within the team. You implement efficient practices that contribute to higher quality and better results.

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and optimize infrastructures in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, on-premises environments, or hybrid solutions. Specifically, you will focus on the installation and management of database and application servers essential for the Thinkwise Platform.

  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and partners to seamlessly integrate infrastructure solutions. You monitor progress, set priorities, and resolve bottlenecks.

  • Client Communication: Act as the technical point of contact for clients. You translate client needs into concrete solutions and clearly explain technical concepts, even to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in infrastructure, processes, and workflows. You initiate enhancements and continuously seek ways to further develop our services.

Job requirements

  • Technical Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure management, with strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, on-premises infrastructures, and network technologies.

  • Leadership Experience: You are capable of coaching, motivating, and providing structure.

  • Certifications: Certifications such as Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Architect, or comparable accreditations are a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues. You are analytical, results-oriented, and a natural leader.

  • Vision and Leadership: You have a vision for the development of our services and can convincingly communicate it. You mentor colleagues and encourage their growth, both professionally and personally.
